Storage and data management firm NetApp has officially announced that Low Kai Chin will strengthen its business in both Malaysia and Brunei as the new district manager.
NetApp vice president and general manager, Scott Morris, said, "We welcome Low on board to the NetApp ASEAN family, and we are looking to his leadership to help drive the business in Malaysia."
A Singapore national, Low brings 22 years of IT industry experience, with his last role as global vice president, learning and development with Schneider Electric. Prior to this, he managed operations of APC, a division of Schneider Electric, in Malaysia, Brunei and Thailand, as business vice president.
In Malaysia, Low will manage and grow the current NetApp business in the country, and strengthen and improve the quality of service offered by NetApp and its partners to customers.
"I am excited to join and lead a company like NetApp, especially when we are in the middle of a global cloud computing revolution," said Low. "As more Malaysian businesses turn to the cloud for better efficiencies, NetApp is in an ideal position to aid the transition with its innovative products and technologies that underpin the foundation of cloud deployments today."
"Malaysia is one of our key markets in Asean, and his track record of achievements and extensive industry experience will be invaluable in our ongoing pursuit to address our customers' needs and challenges with their data management and cloud deployments," said NetApp's Morris.
