New services now available from Intel Security

New product line extends protection beyond anti-virus technology.

Intel Security has now made available new consumer security services that go beyond anti-virus technology.

A press statement said the new product line consists of True Key, with unlimited cross-device protection beyond the MCAfee LiveSafe Service to McAfee AntiVirus Plus, McAfee Internet Security and McAfee Total Protection. It said the new product line extends protection also to devices, personal data and identity.

According to the press statement, among the key new features and enhancements are the following: cross-device security, new scan, discover, protect technology, sign-in without passwords, improved mobile protection and new wearable security.

The new services now provide protection against viruses and against the latest online threats, the protection such protection to every Windows PC, Mac, Android and iOS device a user owns.

Home networks
Furthermore, the services enable users to scan home networks for unprotected devices in order to give them protection.

On the other hand, True Key enables users to log into mobile apps, Websites and devices using a combination of factors such as their face, fingerprint or devices.

Likewise, improved mobile protection has been made possible through new features such as a home screen widget to quickly perform vital tasks. At the same time, mobile security capability now extends protection to Android Wear watches.

The press statement noted that a recent Intel Security report showed there are now six new online threats found every second. At the same time, consumers now use more devices and apps in more locations. Thus, the need to go beyond malware protection.
