Panasonic unveils business CF-LX3 Toughbook in Malaysia

By 2015, the world's mobile worker population will surpass 37% with Asia Pacific seeing the largest increase, said Toughbook Asia Pacific Group's Malaysia Country Manager Alex Chew.

The launch in Malaysia of the new Panasonic Toughbook CF-LX3 is part of the company's drive to meet the needs of an increasing mobile working population, it said.

Toughbook Asia Pacific Group's Malaysia country manager Alex Chew said the new Toughbook CF-LX3 's light-weight, shock-resistant body are just two of the features designed for the mobile worker population, which is expected to account for 37.2 percent of the total global workforce with the Asia Pacific region (excluding Japan) seeing the largest increase of such workers.

Chew said the new model represented the bringing together of the latest computing technologies for mobile professionals. "Panasonic Toughbook continues to push the boundaries of what a laptop can and cannot do as we strive to develop the best products to meet our customer's business needs."

"The Toughbook CF-LX3 is designed to be the ultimate companion for the mobile executive, bringing together enterprise-level technologies, lightweight features, and an extremely long battery life to deliver real business results," he said.

According to Chew, the new device is the world's lightest 14" business rugged notebook with up to 7 hours battery life, Windows 8.1 Pro, Intel Core i5 vPro processor, weighing just 1.2kg.

Panasonic's Chew added that the device measured 333mm x 225.6mm x 24.5mm with 4GB SGRAM and 250GB storage. "With nearly 20 years of experience in the rugged mobile computing space, we believe the Toughbook CF-LX3 is the product of our commitment to developing innovative devices capable of delivering consistent outstanding performance for our business users."
