Co-founder and chief executive officer of e-Sports supporter Razer will be meeting partners and Malaysian professional gamers as part of a commitment to develop the e-Sports scene in the country.

Razer chief executive officer Min-Liang Tan said that his activities during his first trip to Kuala Lumpur in April would be to rally local professional gamers under a unified banner.

Tan, the creative director behind the Razer products, said he intended to garner more support for Malaysia's growing gaming scene. "Razer is currently sponsoring local professional multi-gaming team, Orange e-Sports, and welcomes aspiring teams to send in their applications to become a part of Team Razer."

"There is still so much room for the Malaysian e-Sports community and industry as a whole to grow," he said. "Razer is looking forward to equip more aspiring Malaysian gamers with our gaming-grade hardware and provide the financial support so that they can focus on their gaming and dominate the global gaming arena."

In conjunction with the PIKOM PC Fair from 13th to 15th April, Razer also sponsored the e-Club Invitational for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) and Defense of the Ancients 2 (DotA 2).
