Social business vendor, Jive Software, has appointed former SAP executive, Robert Yue, to the role of Asia-Pacific vice-president.
The company said, in a statement, that his appointment bolsters company growth in that region -- especially as more companies in Australia and Asia recognise the value social business delivers to organisations, including the ability to increase productivity by up to 15 per cent.
Yue will be based in Jive Software's newly opened Sydney office, and his responsibilities include working closely with the growing Asia-Pacific team in Melbourne, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and greater Asia as it expands its reach in the territory.
Jive Software worldwide field operations president, Jay Larson, said Yue was selected for his passion, managerial skills and great team spirit.
"His deep knowledge of enterprise software and his ability to masterfully bridge global and regional needs will help us continue to grow our presence in this thriving market," Larson said.
Yue has had more than 20 years of experience in the enterprise software space.
He most recently served in SAP, as the vice-president and managing director for SuccessFactors A/NZ.
Previously, he was vice-president and general manager of HP's software business in the region.
Yue has also held management and sales roles at Mercury Interactive, Intersolv and Serena.
"It is exciting to join the company as it broadens its footprint in Asia-Pacific. I'm looking forward to working with the team as we bring this solution to Asian companies to transform the way they collaborate internally and with their customers and partners," Yue said.
