The new feature automatically connects roamers’ mobile devices to preferred partner networks, eliminating the chances of a bill shock.

Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) customers can now avoid a bill shock when roaming with the new network selection feature.

As part of SingTel's DataRoam Saver plans, the new feature automatically connects mobile devices to SingTel's partner networks. This ensures that data is only consumed when the devices are connected to the right networks.

Customers can activate this network selection feature through MySingTel app.

The feature supports LTE, 3G and 2G roaming and is based on Ericsson's Service-Aware Charging and Control Solution.
