Car service company, Uber, has partnered with music streaming service Spotify to allow playlists to be played in Uber taxis.
Customers will be able to use their premium Spotify account to choose playlists and them hear them through the speakers of their Uber taxi.
The offer begins on 21 November, in ten global cities including Sydney. Uber said it will be rolling out the service to more cities in the coming weeks.
At launch, the cities to have access to the service are: London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Nashville, Mexico City, Singapore, Stockholm, Toronto and Sydney.
The changes will be available with the lastest update of the Uber app. Uber will also be launching a competition to allow customers to have 'ride-alongs' with music artists. Participants confirmed so far are Andrew W.K., The Sam Willows, Ximena Sariñana, Ansiktet, Professor Green, Diplo, Matt and Kim, Ricki Lee, Kevin Drew and Jake Owen.
