As one of the sponsors of Roxy Malaysia contest, Malaysian telco U Mobile has hosted the top 17 finalists of Roxy's 'Let the Sea Set You Free' contest 2012.

Speaking on 17 April 2012, U Mobile head of corporate communications Lisy Lee said the top 17 finalists were selected on their optimistic personalities.

"We are truly honoured to collaborate with Roxy Malaysia in providing a healthy platform for youth to showcase their talents and personalities," said Lee. "Apart from innovating in our products and services and pairing them with greater value-add offerings, U Mobile has always been supportive in nurturing young talent to discover their inner potential."

"This partnership is parallel to U Mobile's unwavering efforts to inspire aspiring young talent in achieving their dreams. Therefore, do join us as we witness the participants shine in both the local and international arena," she said.

Lee said: "Roxy's 'Let the Sea Set You Free' contest is a global initiative in search for three of the most intriguing, fun, engaging, daring and media savvy girls to experience a life-changing adventure, which includes a trip to Biarritz, France, cash prize of up to US$5,000, be outfitted head-to-toe in Roxy products, host Roxy video segments, be a face and voice for Roxy and jet set on another surprise trip."

Winners of this contest will be determined based on the public's vote of their favourite participant on Roxy Malaysia's Facebook page, which will kick off on 27 April and make up 50 percent of their overall scores. The remaining 50 percent score will comprise verdicts from a panel of judges scored during the final round. The winning finalist will be awarded the opportunity to represent Malaysia at the international final.
