3M boosts its global B2B commerce capabilities with hybris

hybris Commerce Suite provides 3M and its customers the flexibility needed for long-term success.

Global innovation company 3M recently implemented a commerce suite by hybris software in a bid to enhance its business to business (B2B) e-commerce offerings.

The deployment will provide 3M a single, unified software stack that can be scaled to meet the needs of 3M's markets in 70 countries in a single infrastructure. It will also allow 3M to support multiple languages and currencies to effectively serve both new and existing global markets.  

Furthermore, hybris Commerce Suite's user tools and personalisation will enable 3M's business and merchandising managers to define customer experiences to drive significantly higher conversion rate. 3M can also leverage the suite's omnicommerce capabilities to deploy future commerce apps on the web, mobile and tablet devices, as well as in the call centre.

According to James Fall, 3M's vice president for global sales operations, the deployment will not only provide 3M's customers with a "quality, omni-channel experience [but also] enable them and the company to quickly adapt to new markets and business models for long-term success." 

3M manufactures and markets products in the Electronics & Energy, Consumer Products, Health Care, Industrial, and Safety & Graphics industries. The company sells products directly to consumers as well as a network of international wholesalers, retailers, distributors and dealers.
