Reseller can now offer a full range of services to Microsoft clients.

Dimension Data Philippines has recently obtained a Large Account Reseller (LAR) status from Microsoft, allowing it offer a full range of services for the software giant.

The wider range of services, which Dimension Data Philippines can offer effective this month, includes professional services, managed services, services and software services - services under Microsoft's "full services" model. As a LAR partner, Dimension Data Philippines can also place Microsoft volume license orders, such as Enterprise Agreement, Select, etc. to Microsoft directly.

The LAR status came shortly after Dimension Data Philippines was named Microsoft Partner of the Year in 2011.

With the LAR status, Dimension Data is expected to help clients formulate prudent purchasing decisions based on the maximum use of software assets; prevention of legal, security and human resource problems; creation of accurate forecast of IT resource requirements; and reduction of software, compliance and licensing costs.

John Bessey, managing director, Microsoft Philippines, said his company is expecting "great opportunities working with Dimension Data in driving strong value propositions to address our Philippine enterprise clients' needs."

"Their strong commitment and a high level of expertise in providing comprehensive enterprise solutions would be a great compliment to our partner ecosystem as we move forward," Bessey added.

Ernesto Batungbacal, president and CEO, Dimension Data Philippines, said that with the partner-of-the-year distinction from Microsoft last year and the new LAR status, "we are certainly well positioned to maximise the full value of our client's software assets, offering them an unparalleled competitive edge".
