A Singapore-based investment group has appointed Dimension Data to devise a three-year roadmap to help meet its business objectives, ensure compliance, and mitigate risk as the company grows.
According to a spokesperson from the investment firm, Dimension Data was chosen as it had the necessary consultancy experience and "an existing positive working relationship" with the firm.
The investment firm, which manages over US$10 billion of assets, aims to deploy improved IT services, identify any areas of risk through an evaluation of its existing set-up, and examine the IT services that could deliver benefits in future.
To address the firm's requirements, Dimension Data deployed its Consulting Services Framework. This encompasses a consistent approach applied to all consulting services projects; the application of proprietary methods and intellectual capital related to specific consulting service offerings; and engaging industry standards and practices such as ITIL v3 and TOGAF that guide Dimension Data in drawing up its recommendations.
Due to the comprehensive, integrated nature of the roadmap required by the investment firm and the central importance of compliance among the project objectives, the project engaged different members of the team taking responsibility to ensure that the Services Framework standards were met.
