DRAM prices continue to surge in August

DDR3 computer memory chips rose 18.9 percent in August, Gartner said

The price of DDR2 chips has increased 116.9 percent since the beginning of this year, according to Credit Suisse. The price of the chips has risen 45.3 per cent in the third quarter, compared to a 25.8 per cent increase for DDR3 memory chips.
