IT services provider iSoftStone has partnered with BT to deliver IT services in China.

iSoftStone is now a shareholder in MDCL-Frontline, BT's main delivery arm for the provision of IT infrastructure services to its multinational customers in China.

MDCL-Frontline specialises in IT system integration and infrastructure development, encompassing networking, servers, data storage and data centres.

BT will still have a 47.5 percent holding in MDCL-Frontline that delivers IT services to large enterprises in China's telecom, banking, and energy sectors.

"We are very pleased about the investment in MDCL-Frontline," said TW Liu, chairman & CEO of iSoftStone. "I'm sure iSoftStone's additional service capabilities will further strengthen MDCL-Frontline's position as a leading end-to-end IT services provider to its Chinese clients and global clients in China."

Strategic initiatives

MDCL-Frontline has several industry certifications to its credit including IBM Solution Provider Partner and Oracle OPN.

The China-based IT services provider also has been awarded the Class A System Integration Enterprise License issued by the Chinese government.

Both iSoftStone and MDCL-Frontline will leverage each other's strengths through this alliance and collaborate on strategic initiatives like smart city, healthcare, Internet of Things, and Cloud Computing.

"MDCL-Frontline's outstanding skills in IT infrastructure and system integration as well as its local engineering force give BT a truly differentiated service delivery capability in the China market," said Kevin Taylor, president of BT Asia Pacific.

"iSoftStone's involvement will further accelerate MDCL-Frontline's growth through iSoftStone's rich professional service capabilities across many industry sectors. This will enhance BT's position as a strong leader, offering value-added IT service to our MNC customers expanding their footprints in China."
