Microsoft targets June 13 to launch original Xbox programming

Web-connected Xboxes will be able to receive a live stream of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival, followed by an unscripted reality TV series about street soccer. And that Steven Spielberg-produced Halo series is coming soon, too.

On the other hand, it's getting very crowded in the TV content landscape, interactive features notwithstanding. So only time will tell if XES's Xbox Originals will be the Next Big Thing for Microsoft, or go the way of the Zune. It could happen--after all, someone at Atari once thought that E.T. game design was a winner.
