NEC will be providing Myanmar Album Media Services (MAMS) with digital terrestrial TV broadcasting (DTTV) transmitters, IT conglomerate NEC announced today.
MAMS, a relatively new commercial broadcaster in Myanmar, will be able to provide digital broadcasting capabilities and high quality multi-channel services on top of its current broadcasting abilities with the arrival of the new transmitters, according to the statement.
NEC claims the transmitters are eco-friendly, occupy a smaller carbon foot print and consume less power.
Established in 2009 and licensed in 2011, MAMS broadcasts to 13 major cities in Myanmar, including the capital Naypyidaw
