Cost savings programme for mainframe customers

SINGAPORE, 3 DECEMBER 2009 - Compuware's mainframe solutions customers have an opportunity to win a grand prize of US$1 million. The company has announced a unique mainframe cost savings programme that offers its customers a free cost-savings assessment, a roadmap to future mainframe operational costs savings and this prize money.

It is easy to participate if you are interested in the programme. All you have to do is to take part in a simple and free cost-savings assessment, which will allow the company to identify future savings opportunities and the operational cost savings that you currently experience by using Compuware.

Prove capabilities to customers

Compuware specialises in providing software, experts and best practices to ensure applications work well and deliver business value. The company is quite confident in their differentiated capabilities and ROI.

According to Rose Rowe, vice president, mainframe strategy, Compuware, this confidence has driven them to offer such a big amount as prize money. The company believes this amount will help them further prove its capabilities to mainframe solutions customers.

Rowe notes Gartner which said Compuware's mainframe market position is greater than all their competitors combined. He attributes this to the savings provided to the customers.  

We're launching this programme to help our customers save even more money and to continue proving the unmatched value Compuware brings to this marketplace, she added.

Year-long contest

This contest gives participants a chance to share their experience with other Compuware users. The company will allow them to access a secure Web portal and here they can write and submit brief stories describing the benefits and savings they gained from Compuware mainframe solutions.

You can win US$1 million if your submissions are judged to be most compelling by a panel of industry experts and Compuware executives. This year-long contest also offers prizes to runners up. According to company officials, nine runners up will be awarded a US$100,000 credit towards purchase of a new Compuware product software licence.

"This is an opportunity for Compuware mainframe customers to gain valuable insight into potential areas for further cost savings and efficiencies, at no cost to them, and to have a chance to win a substantial prize," said Rowe. "Every customer will benefit by simply participating in the programme."

Compuware's mainframe cost savings programme will run through to 30 November 2010.
