US spied on EU, Snowden claims

The US has reportedly been bugging EU offices in Washington and New York, in the latest of a series of revelations by whistleblower Edward Snowden.

Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn told Der Spiegel: "The United States would be better off monitoring its secret services rather than its allies. We must get a guarantee from the very highest level now that this stops ­immediately."
