The Chinese firm's CES 2014 line-up will star the flagship Grand S 2 smartphone but many other devices will be on offer too. ZTE will launch a smartwatch, a phablet and a mini-projector.
"ZTE has been developing a portfolio of fantastic consumer electronics on top of the smartphones for which we've become well known," said Zeng Xuezhong, EVP and head of the mobile at ZTE. "This year, we shall be focusing on pairing unique designs with unparalleled technology in order to offer customers the best possible experience at an affordable price."
Details are thin on the ground for the Grand S II but it will feature 'intelligent voice control technology', 'voice-to-phone photography' and triple-MIC noise reduction. The nubia 5S and nubia 5S mini will also make an appearance with the former offering a 5in Full HD screen and 4K video recording.
Wearable technology is set to be a big area at CES this year with smartwatches poised to steal the show. ZTE's is called the BlueWatch and features a pedometer for fitness tracking. Like others, it will tether to a smartphone over Bluetooth to enable "on-wrist control of calls, content, photography, and social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter."?
ZTE said it will unveil its first phablet, called Iconic Phablet, with a 5.7in display which can run two apps simultaneously. It will come with Gorilla Glass, Dolby Digital and wireless charging. The Projector Hotspot is a mini-projector and Wi-Fi hotspot in one device.
