Government support for fees
As part of IASA's ongoing commitment to bring world-class IT Architecture education to Malaysians at an affordable price we have decided to localise the training in Malaysia, said Ganny. In the U.S., it will cost U$44,000 to complete the training for the IASA Foundation Certified but we have succeeded in keeping the cost in Malaysia down to only US$1,900 (RM6, 400) and for a limited time, we do also offer a complimentary exam fee worth US$300. That's a saving of more than 60 per cent in cost.
Thanks to strong government support through MDeC, Malaysian IT professionals can now apply to MSC Malaysia Capability Development Programme (CDP) for support and financial reimbursement of part of the cost of earning certification, said Ganny. IASA is working with MSC Malaysia CDP to include the IASA IT Architecture Program among the more than 100 professional certifications that are available through CDP Professional Development.
Through our close collaboration we are steadily raising both the number and professional calibre of IT architects in Malaysia, said MDeC's Ng. The introduction of the IASA IT Architect Certification Programme places IASA at the forefront of Malaysia's transformation from being an adopter of foreign skills and knowledge into a contributing partner in developing and promoting the adoption of global best practices.
