Indian outsourcer clocks 35 per cent Asia Pacific growth

TCS: Asia Pacific Indian outsourcing sector will keep growing despite recession

Why is it that India will continue to grow? There are a couple of key reasons, he argues. Number one is that India has both scale and skill. Some countries have scale and do not have skill (and vice versa).  Indian companies, like TCS, have been in the industry for about 40 years. It has established name and reputation across the globe.

The second reason is that the offshoring story of India that we started many years ago is now mainstream. So everyone wants it. The more you see cost cutting, the more you see offshoring growing.

Third is the BPO industry, the engineering services industry, the legal processing outsourcing, the knowledge processing outsourcing the whole piece (sic!) is also growing quite fast. India is becoming a very large provider of all these services in an offshore onsite mode.  That is why this industry will continue to grow.
