SAP appoints new COO for SAP Asia Pacific Japan

Former Senior VP of SAP Services, Scott Russell, is now named the new Chief Operating Officer for SAP APJ.


SAP Asia Pacific Japan has named Scott Russell as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ). According to the software company, Russell’s new role involves him to overlook SAP’s entire APJ business — from business innovation, to sales operation and execution.

Russell is a veteran in the IT industry, with over 20 years of experience in areas such as software, cloud and services. He was formerly the Senior Vice President for SAP Services business; and has also held senior leadership roles across APJ with IBM and PwC.

"SAP has been in the APJ region for the last 25 years, helping our customers run better in this fast growing region,” said Adaire Fox-Martin, President, SAP APJ. “Scott’s appointment will provide the leadership to build a world class operation that scales with our strong growth trajectory. His proven track record of driving business simplification, value and efficiency for long-term growth makes him the ideal leader to support SAP’s growth and momentum in the APJ market.”

Based in Singapore, Russell will report to Adaire Fox-Martin.
