Bridge Alliance, a large mobile alliance group in the Asia Pacific, is offering mobile users unlimited data roaming and Internet surfing at an affordable fixed rate of US$12 per day.
The company has launched Bridge AsiaRoamData SIM, a prepaid data SIM card service, which is available to all mobile users regardless of which network operator they are using.
Currently, this SIM can be used across six countries of the Bridge Alliance member networks - Singapore (SingTel Mobile), Malaysia (Maxis), Indonesia (Telkomsel), Philippines (Globe Telecom), Thailand (AIS) and India (Airtel).
Bridge Alliance has priced its Bridge AsiaRoamData SIM starter kit at US$15 and claims that it is most suited for business and leisure travellers looking for a cost efficient data roaming solution.
The starter kit comprises a data SIM card bundled with one-day unlimited data roaming plan. Subsequent daily usage will cost an affordable US$12 per day. It is easy to top up the SIM card through the company's website or via SMS from mobile devices.
Travel Buddy Promotion
Bridge Alliance is also offering two Bridge AsiaRoamData SIM starter kits with one additional day top-up for each SIM card at the price of one.
This offer is under the 'Travel Buddy Promotion' scheme under a partnership between Bridge Alliance and the DBS Bank of Singapore.
'Travel Buddy Promotion' is valid from 25 July 2011 to 31 December 2011 and is available exclusively to all DBS Altitude, DBS Black and DBS Treasures Black Elite cardholders.
"We are excited to collaborate with DBS to launch this promotion and introduce yet another cost-efficient and worry-free data roaming solution to our customers," said Annie Gan, chief executive officer, Bridge Alliance.
"For customers who carry multiple devices and do not wish to incur recurring charges, the Bridge AsiaRoamData SIM is the best solution for one-SIM, one-fixed rate giving true mobility as compared to the limited coverage of wi-fi and hotel Internet services."
Customers can use the Bridge AsiaRoamData SIM in any SIM-unlocked smartphone including iPhone, Android and Internet USB dongle devices, and laptop computers with a SIM card slot.
