Datacraft bags network contract in India

Contract is to build the network for a new manufacturing plant

SINGAPORE, 3 FEBRUARY 2009 IT solutions and services provider Datacraft has won a US$500,000 (S$ 756,500) network integration contract from a global automotive giant in the state of Maharashtra in India.

The global automotive giant was setting up its first global, state-of-the-art plant, said Datacraft.

To help the automotive giant achieve its aim as the industry trendsetter, Datacraft India was awarded the contract to set up its network Infrastructure to facilitate IP telephony connectivity, wireless networking and Ethernet solution on the plant floor, said the IT service provider. The end-to-end solution not only connects the plant floor, operations team, management offices, partners and suppliers for improved collaboration but also allows the manufacturer to make strategic business decisions based on real-time access to information, and increase overall operational efficiency as well as visibility on the production floor.
