Application 'wrapping' technology will extend Good Technology's capabilities

Good Technology has acquired private mobile application management company AppCentral, the former announced today.

AppCentral's mobile application management and application 'wrapping' technology will extend the capabilities of Good Technology's platform, according to the statement.

Customers, according to Good Technology, will benefit from securely managed applications and developers gain from the ability to 'wrap' business productivity apps without having to recompile their application code.

Effective immediately, AppCentral staff will become full-time employees of secure enterprise mobility solutions company Good Technology. AppCentral's San Francisco, California headquarters will also be converted into a Good Technology office.

The transaction was completed on 1 October without disclosure of its financial terms.
