Making your photo life easier

Zafar Anjum | Aug. 1, 2013
Asia is a huge market for photo app developer Cooliris given its smartphone and tablet penetration, says CEO Soujanya Bhumkar.

In our latest release, we partnered with Tencent in China to bring Tencent Weibo content, which is China's largest microblogging platform, into the app. We've also expanded our partnership with Yandex to integrate Yandex.Disk, Russia's most popular online cloud storage solution, and Yandex.Search, the country's leading image search service. Our first international partnership was launched in December 2012 with Renren in China, which boosted our installs in China by 30x.

As a team of 18 collaborators, we leverage international partnerships for growth beyond our core market of US. By working with like-minded international partners, we provide two key benefits to them: 1.  enable a stunning and unique media experience around their user content through the Cooliris app and 2.  help our partners expand their brand and service internationally with Cooliris' global user base.

What can we expect from Cooliris in the next one-two years? What's the pipeline?

We aim to become the primary photos and videos app on all devices and screens. In the upcoming months, we will be releasing the Cooliris app for Android and web to bring the Cooliris experience to all users. We also have plans to add premium paid features to the app. On the partnership side, we look forward to executing on game-changing deals with distribution partners to deliver deeper integrations that will delight our partners, users and Cooliris.
