KUALA LUMPUR, 24 SEPTEMBER 2010 -- In the past 12 months, Malaysian communications provider Maxis says it has doubled its data-carrying capacity in preparation for its launch of the Apple iPhone 4 in Malaysia.
Maxis subscribers of the new iPhone 4, which is available in Malaysia from 24 September, can take advantage of the telecommunications firm's upgraded mobile network, according to Maxis chief operating officer, Jean-Pascal van Overbeke. "This should allow optimised speed and coverage for iPhone 4 users."
"As well as the apps available from Apple's App Store, the iPhone 4 features the video calling appFaceTimeand the new Retina display, as well as Applefs A4 processor, a 3-axis gyro and up to 40 per cent longer talk time," said van Overbeke.
"We strive to bring the latest technology to our existing customers and are thrilled to offer the much anticipated iPhone 4," he said.
Van Overbeke said tariff plans start from RM100 (US$32.36) per month and that full pricing details for iPhone 4 and Maxis tariff plans could be viewed online (www.maxis.com.my/iphone).
