Avira penetrates Singapore market to intensify global expansion

Avira also introduces limited-time anti-virus plus TuneUp bundle

SINGAPORE, 26 OCTOBER 2010 - German security provider Avira announced today its official arrival in Singapore at a press conference held in the nation's Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Avira also took the opportunity to introduce its latest limited-time product - Avira + TuneUp Utilities 2010 Bundle.

Avira aims to intensify its global expansion by introducing to Singapore its flagship products, Avira AntiVir Premium and Avira Premium Security Suite, according to Richard Yamamoto, vice president of the Asia Pacific region for Avira.

The products are available at Singapore's IT malls such as Sim Lim Square.

Avira will also make available its latest product in the nation by early November. The limited edition bundle includes the Avira Premium Security Suite anti-virus application coupled with the performance and system optimisation software utility suite, TuneUp Utilities 2010.

The bundle is purported to offer 'double value' and double speed' with up to five-user licence at a suggested retail price of S$35 (US$27) onwards.

According to Yamamoto, Avira has more than 100 million users worldwide, and foresees extreme growth in its user base in the Asia Pacific following its arrival in Singapore.
