Stephan Neumeier has been named Kaspersky Lab's managing director for Asia Pacific (APAC).
He takes over Maxim Mitrokhin, who is returning to his previous role as operations director to better focus on optimising company processes and improving corporate performance within the region.
Neumeier will leverage his 17 years of experience in the IT industry to help the company grow in more than 25 countries across APAC. He will do so by strengthening partner relationships, extending the company's retail footprint, and driving business development to meet growing business and consumer needs for effective cyber-protection.
He is also expected to lead the APAC team in carrying out the company's strategy to further develop and continue the growth in both commercial and enterprise cybersecurity with strong focus into critical verticals such as industrial cybersecurity.
Commenting on the appointment, Alexander Moiseev, Chief Sales Officer, Kaspersky Lab said: "With Stephan's extensive industry experience in the sales / channel and distribution world, we are confident that he will be able to help our partners in the region grow further and faster, building stronger and more successful client and partner relationships."
Before joining Kaspersky Lab, Neumeier has held several channel senior leadership roles in Unify, Avaya, San Disk and McAfee, where he played key roles in transforming business, extending channel footprints and driving business to year-on-year growth.
