Websense Triton APX 8.0 is now available to provide security for companies that adopt new technologies and new work practices, including cloud computing.
A press statement by its developer, the Austin, Texas-based Websense Inc. said the APX 8.0 provides these companies advanced threat and data protection in the wake of the growing shift towards adoption of the cloud , use of mobile devices and greater utilisation of distributed workforces.
According to the security solutions vendor, the TRITON APX 8.0 provides deep analysis across the advanced kill chain to detect and stop APT's and advanced malware designed to evade point solutions.
Some other features of the new platform would be a fully contextually-aware data theft engine, visibility and control over what documents employees can share and enforced IP protection policies on both Microsoft Windows as well as MAC OS X operating systems.
It further said its dashboard provides intelligent prioritization of incidents for rapid response and resolution of critical issues.
